Welcome to AK
Auriol Kensington is an open, friendly rowing club based on the Thames tideway at Hammersmith, west London. We are always keen to welcome new members, from beginners to experienced veterans; coxes and rowers.
We provide competitive rowing and sculling for adults, young or old. Rowing is divided into senior squads for oarsmen and women, a novice group for beginners and a veterans section.
All groups compete regularly in events throughout the year, including the Head of the River, Women’s Eights Head of the River, Henley Women’s Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta.
AK takes beginner rowers throughout the year. Our focus is on teaching rowing basics before moving those who want to compete into the main squads.
Overlooking the river Thames and Hammersmith Bridge, the club also has one of the finest function venues in London.
The facilities are spread over several floors, including a bar and outdoor area. The venue is available for private and corporate functions.
