Auriol Kensington Rowing Club is always keen to welcome new members, from beginners to experienced veterans; coxes and rowers. Our senior men’s and women’s squads compete regularly in events throughout the year, including the Head of the River, Women’s Eights Head of the River, Henley Women’s Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta.
Beginners’ squad
If you’re new to rowing, our beginners’ squad provides a relaxed introduction to the sport with one or two on-the-water outings a week and optional fitness sessions alongside the senior squads. Beginners are welcome to join throughout the year.
Senior squads
Our men’s and women’s squads train and compete in a variety of boats. Our top boats compete at Henley Women’s Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta in the summer. Our development and novice boats compete at a variety of local regattas.
Single scullers and veterans
We have a number of experienced rowers who row independently and in self-organised groups. Racking space is available for single sculls and club pairs, doubles, fours and quads are also available for use.
Coxes
We are always on the look out for new coxes; whether experienced or completely new to the sport. If you’re new to coxing, we’ll take you through the basics and get you out practicing on the water with an experienced coach at your side.
